02What Mallow does not do

No user accounts: Mallow does not offer account creation and does not require email/password to work.
No payment card data: we do not collect your payment details. Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store.

03Information we process

Even without accounts, some technical and subscription-related data may be necessary.

a) Technical data (operation, security, quality)

Depending on your usage, we may process:

  • Device/app environment information: device model, iOS version, language.
  • Technical logs (diagnostics, errors, performance) where available.
  • In-app settings stored locally (favorite sounds, playback settings, language, etc.).

This data is used to run the app, fix bugs, and improve stability.

b) Subscription data (via Apple + RevenueCat)

Mallow uses RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlement and verify access to paid features. In this context, we may process or receive:

  • Subscription status (active/expired), plan type, renewal dates.
  • Technical transaction/subscription identifiers (e.g., transaction IDs).
  • A technical user identifier (often an "app user id") used to link premium access to the app/device (no account required).

Payments are processed by Apple. RevenueCat acts as a technical service provider for subscription management.

c) Support (if you contact us)

If you contact support, we process:

  • Your message.
  • Your email address (if you provide it).
  • Any information you choose to share (e.g., technical context).

04Why we use this information

Provide core app features (sound playback, saving settings).
Manage premium access (subscriptions) and restore purchases.
Ensure security, prevent abuse, fix bugs.
Respond to support requests.

05Legal bases (GDPR)

Performance of a contract (providing the app and subscription).
Legitimate interests (security, stability, troubleshooting).
Consent only for optional website features like non-essential cookies, if applicable.
Legal obligations (e.g., accounting/admin), when applicable.

06Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share strictly necessary data with:

Apple (App Store purchases/subscriptions).
RevenueCat (subscription management and entitlement verification).
Essential technical providers (e.g., hosting, support tools), if you use them.

All providers act under our instructions and implement appropriate safeguards.

07International transfers

Some providers (including RevenueCat) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

08Retention

Subscription-related data: retained as needed to manage premium access and related obligations.
Technical data: retained for reasonable periods for troubleshooting and stability.
Support: typically 12 to 24 months after the last interaction.

09Security

We implement reasonable security measures (access controls, encryption in transit where available, data minimization). No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

10Children's privacy

Mallow is designed for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact privacy@appmallow.com.
